In addition to welcoming a new baby courtesy of a woman who is not his steady, the Atlanta-area rapper made a big move into a stunning modern home in the Hollywood Hills section of Los Angeles.
Talk about “Fast and Furious.”
Ludacris’ purchase of the 6,000-square-foot abode cost him $4.8 million, which may or may not help with his current attempt to show the courts in Atlanta that he’s only making about $25,000 a month. According to TMZ, Ludacris has filed a pre-emptive motion to help set a hard cap on the amount of cash he’ll be required to pay in support of his newborn child.
However that bit of baby legalese works out, Ludacris has indeed set himself up in style on the Left Coast, where he might be found chilling out with his girlfriend, Euxodiee. The pair are all over Instagram with pictures of their domestic bliss, including pix of the pair chowing down with family in Atlanta for Thanksgiving, not to mention some pretty slick shots of them cavorting this New Year’s by a luxurious pool.
Ludacris’ new home comes with killer views of L.A., especially from the infinity lap pool and spa that are the centerpiece of the backyard. There are 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, panoramic views from all angles, including the wet bar that sits in the middle of the open floor-plan living room. There’s ample parking, a home theater and separate maids’ quarters.
The new home purchase coincides with the sale of one of two condos Ludacris owns in West Los Angeles. The 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit fetched the man legally known as Christopher Bridges $879,000, which was pretty steeply discounted from the $1,030,000 he paid back in 2007. Ludacris looking to sell the other unit he owns in the same condo building at 2111 S. Beverly Glen, Los Angeles, CA 90025. The penthouse unit is also listed for $879,000.
While Ludacris sorts out his real estate holdings (he owns a home in Atlanta) he can then figure out how to decorate his new modern manse in case he gets visitations from his new baby daughter, Cai Bella Bridges who was born Dec. 9, or his first daughter, Karma, who made an appearance at the premiere of “Fast and Furious 6” last May.
While that movie series has been put on hold following the death of actor Paul Walker, Ludacris confirms that the acting bug has bitten him pretty good. No wonder he wanted to grow his base in L.A., where the silver screen is clearly one of Ludacris’ new playgrounds.
