Nick Nolte, the “48 Hrs.” star who recently appeared on FOX’s murder mystery “Gracepoint,” finally sold a fireplace-rich, 2-acre spread he’s been trying to unload for over a year.
The property went for $3.9 million — which appears to be less than half the original $8.25-million asking price, but Nolte’s listing agent says that “was with an option to buy all 5 acres,” said Jane Kellard of Westside Estate Agency.
Nolte ultimately decided to keep the remaining 3 acres, which include a home and 3 guest houses, she said.
The property he sold features a 4-bedroom house and a 2-bedroom guest house with 8 fireplaces between them. The main home has a mahogany arched entryway with an onyx floor that opens onto a living room with 19-foot vaulted ceilings and skylights. It includes 6 stone and carved-wood fireplaces, Italian marble floors, French doors and windows and a master suite with a seating area, library and office.
The guest house has 2 fireplaces of its own, and the property boasts a lighted tennis court and a lagoon swimming pool.
Makes you wonder how many fireplaces Nolte kept on the larger estate.
