Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi appear to be on the 6-month plan, spending about that much time owning each home they bought this year.

Celebrity house flipper Ellen DeGeneres has listed adjacent high-rise condos in Los Angeles for $15.99 million.
She paid that much for them in July, according to the Los Angeles Times, which broke the story. DeGeneres bought the condos after selling the architecturally celebrated Brody House for $55 million. She’d owned it for six months.
Together, the condos occupy an entire floor of a Westwood condo building, with views of a golf course and downtown Los Angeles. They homes have been redone with stone and oak flooring, stone countertops and wine storage.
The smaller unit, listed at $7.495 million, measures 3,813 square feet with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The larger condo, listed for $1 million more, has 4,158 square feet including 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Their combined HOA fees total $8,526 a month.
DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, go through real estate like some people go through shampoo. In 2011, they traded a custom home in Beverly Hills for Brad Pitt’s remodeled Malibu home — then sold it seven months later. Last year, they sold a Thousand Oaks horse ranch for $10.85 million and bought a Montecito estate for $26.5 million.
“I’ve never bought to sell. I always say: ‘This is it. I’m never moving.’ People laugh at me now,” DeGeneres told The New York Times earlier this year. At the time, her energy was focused largely on the Brody House, which Ellen said would be her permanent home. “It’s the best house I’ve ever lived in,” she told the Times. “Where would I go?”
The listing agent for the condos is Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency.
