The “Spider-Man” star bought the home from Ricki Lake a year ago for $8.45 million.
Tobey Maguire has listed his plantation-style home in Brentwood and wants almost $2 million more than he paid Ricki Lake last year.
The 6-bedroom, 5-bath home is on the market for $10.25 million, as first reported by the Los Angeles Times.
Designed by California architect John Byers in the 1940s, the 6,320-square-foot home includes an upstairs guest suite that overlooks the nearly one-acre property and has a private entrance. The living, dining and great rooms flow into one another in an open floor plan, and French doors lead to a covered outdoor living room.
The great room features a beamed ceiling, massive skylights and a large fireplace. The master suite boasts two fireplaces and a sitting area that looks over the grounds.
Although Maguire is best known for the “Spider-Man” trilogy, he starred as chess player Bobby Fischer in last year’s well-received “Pawn Sacrifice” and was a memorable Nick Carraway in “The Great Gatsby” the year
