Grown-up child-star twin Mary-Kate Olsen and her fiance, Olivier Sarkozy, have bought a unique and private town home in New York City’s Turtle Bay development, according to a New York Post report.
The mansion, which closed last week, was listed for $13.5 million, according to property records. The 8,000-square-foot home is tucked into Turtle Bay Gardens, a group of grand 1860s-era town homes that surround a central promenade and gardens in midtown Manhattan.
The home has a gilded, Old World glamour, with 22-foot ceilings in a ballroom and a hall of mirrors, an upstairs artists studio with skylights, and a central fountain modeled after the Medici in Rome. According to the listing by Douglas Elliman, there are 4 to 5 bedrooms, 7 fireplaces, a garage and elevator.
