What do rocker Gwen Stefani and “Modern Family” star Jesse Tyler Ferguson have in common? Answer: a slice of Los Feliz real estate.
Ferguson recently purchased a Spanish colonial revival that was once owned by Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale. According to property records and a report from the Real Estalker, Rossdale and Stefani lived in the white stucco home from 1998 to 2007 before selling to TV writer and producer Mark Brazill. The “That ’70s Show” co-creator owned the home for just a year, selling it in 2008. The home was listed again this past April, with Ferguson recently picking it up for $4.55 million.
Ferguson already owns a home in L.A.’s Silver Lake area, but his recent marriage to longtime boyfriend Justin Mikita likely led to the new home purchase.
The stately, cabana-style home is tucked into the hills of Los Feliz on a more than half-acre lot. Situated behind gates and a long driveway, the house likely gives the sitcom star much-needed privacy.
Like many Southern California residences, the home capitalizes on an indoor-outdoor lifestyle, with extensive patios, an outdoor fireplace, pool and spa, lush landscaping and views from many of the home’s large windows. Measuring nearly 5,000 square feet, the house has 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, as well as a formal dining room, library and media room.
Los Feliz is a hotspot for celebrities. Ferguson can count “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart and “Dexter” star Michael C. Hall among his neighbors.
